The 2020–2021 school year has begun and most students around the world have “gone back to school” remotely, distance learning from home or shelters. For students with computers and ancillary technology, distance learning is doable; for children in need whose parents cannot afford computers, printers, and Internet connections, distance learning is impossible. To help close the alarming digital divide, Yours Humanly donates Chromebooks and technology to underprivileged students attending underfunded schools. Through our Bridging Gaps initiative, we recently donated ten Chromebooks to Bel Air Elementary School in Bay Point, California. The Chromebooks will be distributed to children in need, benefitting scores of students who will have access to the technology over the course of the year. We sincerely thank the Clayton Valley-Concord Sunrise Rotary Club for helping to make this life-changing donation possible.
