Through our Bridging Gaps initiative, Yours Humanly donated multiple STEM in a Gym kits and weather science supplies worth $10,000 to Mt. Diablo Unified School District (MDUSD, Contra Costa County, California), benefitting more than 13,000 students across thirty schools. The kits will be used at school during the day and at community STEM nights with ready-to-use stations focused on four areas of study: physical science, Earth science, electricity, and math. Students will explore and experience physics with STEM in a Gym; measure and graph real data with weather stations; build ‘squishy circuits” to learn about electricity; and learn geometry with pentominoes.
